The control layer: a predictive model that tunes LED spectrum, photoperiod, pressure, and irrigation against a target outcome rather than a fixed schedule. For wine grapes the target is not raw biomass — it is phenolic development, which is exactly the kind of trade-off a scheduler handles badly and an optimiser handles well.
