Divisions 02โ03 ยท Controlled Environment Agriculture
Extreme-environment growing is a Mars problem and an Earth problem. The same closed-loop hardware and control software that could run a Martian biodome pays for itself today in vertical farms and arid-climate agriculture.
Division 02
Closed-loop growing hardware built for the case where every litre of water and every watt is accounted for. Designed against Martian constraints, sold into terrestrial indoor farming.
Condensate capture and multi-stage filtration returning transpired water to the root zone rather than venting it.
Target: >98% recirculation
Perchlorate reduction and nutrient loading to turn basaltic simulant into a viable growing substrate.
Status: Simulant bench trials
Growing at reduced atmospheric pressure to cut dome structural mass, with CO₂ enrichment to hold yield.
Status: Modelling
Division 03
The control layer: a predictive model that tunes LED spectrum, photoperiod, pressure, and irrigation against a target outcome rather than a fixed schedule. For wine grapes the target is not raw biomass — it is phenolic development, which is exactly the kind of trade-off a scheduler handles badly and an optimiser handles well.
Try the model
An interactive, simplified version of the AresAI parameter space runs on the home page. Adjust gravity, pressure, spectrum, and recirculation to see predicted viability shift.

Where the near-term revenue actually lives. Mars is the forcing function; Earth is the market.
Spectrum recipes and energy optimisation for operators whose margin is electricity.
Water reclamation for regions where recirculation rate decides whether a crop is viable.
Instrumented growth chambers and datasets for university CEA and astrobiology programmes.
Life-support-adjacent crop modules for lunar and orbital habitat programmes.
Tell us the constraint you're solving for — water, energy, footprint, or yield consistency — and we'll tell you honestly whether we're useful yet.
RPA is pre-revenue and early-stage. Targets on this page are design goals, not demonstrated performance, and the simulator is an illustrative model rather than validated engineering output. We would rather tell you that up front than have you find out in diligence.
